Corporate Identity - Is it more than just a logo?

Well this morning was a bit nerve racking, as I was booked to stand in front of 130+ business men and women of Mansfield and give them a presentation on Corporate Identity.

This has been in the pipeline for several months now. So after working with Glenn from Woodhead on their corporate identity since Christmas, we thought it would be a good idea to present a balanced view on the subject. I would talk about Corporate Identity what it is and is not, a bit of background information. Then Glenn spoke about his experiences and what he and the company learnt from the exercise.

The presentation took place at 8am this morning at Mansfield 2020 Breakfast meeting and was accompanied by a PowerPoint presentation, which showed the broad range of material that has been produced for Woodhead and K-Panels.

The feedback afterwards was excellent and the new brochures that we had produced for Woodhead's were distributed at the tables.

Arials Dad is 50


That font that is probably the 2nd most used font on your PC (after Times), Arial, has a very famous father that is now 5o years old.

Arial is a close relative of the most famous font Helvetica, albeit a slightly younger version. And now Helvetica is 50 years old. Used through out the Western world, Helvetica has made it through the graphic design mincer to emerge as a true classic.

One of it's most famous incarnations that I know of, is its use in the Orange logo. So it's not quite the true Helevtica, as it is a slightly updated version, but to most it looks the same. The word Orange is written in Helvetica, and its simple understated presence works well for the orange brand.

More New Customers

Well it's been a very busy month. Lots of things happening, so not much time to post information on here.
